ABOUT

The Simon Adair Foundation is an unincorporated association based in Bristol, that exists to raise awareness of men suffering with anxiety and depression. Many men are suffering in silence, as men are less likely than women to proactively seek the help that they need for anxiety disorders or depression. This often stems from societal expectations of masculinity and the prevailing stigma surrounding men's mental health issues. Anxiety and depression undiagnosed or untreated can spiral into worse issues for the men suffering.

ABOUT SIMON ADAIR

A Gentle kind-hearted soul...

The inspiration for the foundation comes from the life of Simon Adair who sadly passed away suddenly in February 2025 following a brief illness.

Simon was a multi-talented, kind-hearted man, he was a music producer, singer/songwriter and guitarist. He also had a Psychology degree.

Behind his talents he battled with severe anxiety and depression during different stages of his life. In spite of the mental health challenges he faced, he often spoke about helping other men one day, men who had battled with their mental health and the stigma surrounding mental ill-health.

Simon encountered this same stigma and struggled to seek long-term professional help, due to societal expectations of masculinity and the concern about what people would think about him.

This foundation has been set up by his wife in order to honour his heartfelt desire to help others in need.
